DENSO EU Aftermarket Business Unit Selects Board to Enhance Sales Planning and Financial Consolidation

Moving from a spreadsheet-based planning to Board will improve data accuracy and accelerate the consolidation process.

Board, the Enterprise Planning Platform, has announced that DENSO Europe Aftermarket & Industrial Solutions (AMIS) BU will be implementing its software to enhance annual sales planning. By transitioning from traditional spreadsheet methods to Board, the company aims to improve data accuracy, minimize risks, and expedite the financial consolidation process.

DENSO is a world-leading automotive supplier of advanced technology and components for thermal systems, powertrain control, electronics, information and safety. With headquarters in Japan and local offices throughout Europe, the company is a key supplier for manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and repairers across the globe. DENSO AMIS BU supplies OE quality automotive products in Europe and Central Asia.

With Board, DENSO expects faster close cycles, improved data accuracy, advanced scenario simulation, and unified planning and consolidation. DENSO chose Board for its comprehensive planning and analysis capabilities. The solution’s roadmap ensures that DENSO’s planning, reporting, and analysis needs will be met for the next five years.

The decision to implement Board was significantly influenced by the expertise provided by Board partner K.Group. Their extensive experience in managing integrated planning processes, such as Demand Planning and Sales Planning, within a structured S&OP framework, offered DENSO a long-term vision in their digital transformation journey, with the potential to extend Board’s utilization to additional business areas.

"The move to Board represents a big step forward for our sales planning,” said Elena Kutlemina, Corporate Services Manager. “Its ability to integrate planning and analysis seamlessly will help us make more informed decisions and ensure financial accuracy."

Sanford Burley, Area Manager at Board, added:

"We're thrilled to partner with DENSO on this transformative journey. Board is built to meet the needs of enterprises like DENSO—it’s an ideal partnership.”

Marco Turk, Demand & Inventory Planning Manager at DENSO also noted:

“Board will allow us to anticipate potential challenges and develop proactive strategies, ensuring better alignment between our forecasts and actual performance."
