Palexpo trusts BOARD Software for Budgeting and Planning

 

Palexpo, the leading Swiss exhibition and convention center, has recently purchased BOARD, the integrated Business Intelligence and Performance Management solution offered by Swiss vendor BOARD International. Palexpo hosts famous trade shows such as the Geneva International Motorshow or EBACE, and welcomes more than 1.5 million international visitors per year. 

The solution, which is being implemented by ALTI Suisse, one of BOARD’s accredited regional partners, is divided in two phases. The first one comprises an application for Budgeting and Financial Planning. In a second step, a tool for analysing Palexpo’s Key Performance Indicators and creating Dashboards will be implemented with BOARD. 

All-in-one approach for a cohesive representation of data across the organization

The seamless integration of Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management was a key factor in Palexpo’s decision: “Having a single virtual data storage is BOARD’s great advantage. The data structures we use for Budgeting and Planning will form the basis for the second phase of the project that deals with Reporting and Dashboarding”, explains Dario Mangano, Palexpo Vice Director and Head of its Information Systems. ”This all-in-one approach will ensure a consistent view of our data throughout the different applications running on BOARD. This will help us taking the right business decisions”. Another reason for Palexpo’s choice was the short time-to-solution cycle provided by BOARD, which allows containing the project implementation costs, adds Mangano.
