Board International cancels global user conference over coronavirus concerns

Boardville 2020, previously scheduled for April 26-29, will not take place this year

Leading decision-making software provider Board International has announced the cancellation of its Boardville 2020 customer and partner conference in Las Vegas, due to growing concerns over the worldwide coronavirus outbreak.

The Boardville event was due to bring together experts from around the world for three days of keynotes, workshops, and networking around digital transformation in business analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting.

“Our main priority is the health and safety of our guests, customers, partners, and employees. We have been closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and related public health risks, and out of an abundance of caution we have made the decision to cancel this year’s Boardville event,”

said Giovanni Grossi, CEO and Co-Founder of Board International.

The new strain of coronavirus, named COVID-19, has been spreading worldwide since its discovery in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. Over 80,000 people globally have already been affected by the virus and almost 2,800 people have died as a result of contracting it. With recent spikes in cases being reported in several countries, there is mounting concern from senior health officials that the virus cannot be contained. More information, including preventative measures, can be found on the World Health Organization’s website.

There will be further formal communications to our external stakeholders and event registrants in the coming days. For enquiries please contact: boardville@board.com.
